What are the hours of operation at Red Dog?

Hours are listed on our Hours of Operation page. There is always a staff member at the facility 24/7 to care for the overnight guests.

Can I take a tour of the facility?

Absolutely! We encourage customers to take a tour of Red Dog to make sure their pet is staying at a high quality and clean facility. Please call for information on tour availability and to schedule your first tour today!

What do I need to make a reservation?

For any reservation made, Red Dog will need a credit card to be placed on file. After an online reservation is made the customer will be contacted by a Red Dog employee to help assist with the credit card information and any further questions.

Red Dog also requires current vaccination documentation, which needs to be submitted to Red Dog at least Four days in advance for non-holiday stays and at least Ten days in advance for holiday stays. Our Vaccination document can be found on the Reservations page.
We also require first time guests documents to be completed prior to your pets stay. This document can also be found on the Reservations page.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

The following vaccinations are required prior to boarding your dog:

  • Rabies – required once every three years
  • DHLPP – required once every year
  • Bordatella – required once every year

What vaccinations does my cat need?

The following vaccinations are required prior to boarding your cat:

  • Rabies – required once every three year
  • FCRVP – required once every year

How do I make a reservation?

By filling out our Online Reservation Form or by calling  513-733-3647 (Cincinnati) or 513-229-3647 (Mason).

What do I bring with my pet when I check them in?

We request that you bring a leash or cat carrier to leave with us. You may also bring a collar, toys, and treats in a small plastic bag. All belongings should be marked with the guest’s last name. Red Dog will provide all guests with premium pet bedding.
Please also bring any medication in the original container with your pet. A Red Dog employee will give your pet their medication as requested.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa requires a 72 hour cancellation notice for lodging reservations made over a holiday and other peak periods, these holidays include (but may not be limited to) Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. A credit card will be asked for at the time of booking to hold the reservation, failure to cancel the reservation 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival will result in one day charge for the room reserved.

What is included in the daily rate for my animal?

  • 24 hour care
  • 2 meals a day at the requested times
  • Water is changed with each feeding
  • 3 business breaks
  • In the suites there will be television for the dogs to watch and music for them to hear.
  • Extra charge applies for Science Diet house food

Can I get my dog groomed even if it is not staying in the hotel?

Any dog can be groomed whether or not they are staying at Red Dog for the night. Just call the front desk and make an appointment.
